Michelle is available for lessons at Westport Stables on both student-owned horses, and Westport's excellent schooling horses. Limited lessons are available locally at other locations
Lessons are 45 minutes to one hour long, depending on number of riders in class and fitness level of participants.
LESSONS ON STUDENT'S HORSE:
$50 per lesson.
RESERVED WEEKLY RIDE TIME.
"Ten pack" $500.00
Buy ten lessons and receive eleven. Lessons must be used at a once-per-week minimum with reserved lesson time.
A training ride may be occasionally substituted for a lesson if the owner cannot ride.
LESSONS ON SCHOOLING HORSES AT WESTPORT STABLES
$50 per individually scheduled lesson. This includes the use of horse, all tack, Grooming tools, and the use of an ASTM approved helmet. The student is encouraged to purchase a helmet of their own if they desire to continue lessons on a regular basis.
Lessons are available at locations in the immediate vicinity of Talent. Travel fees may be split among multiple riders.
$50 per lesson
$15 travel fee within 5 miles of Talent
$25 travel fee between 5-20 miles of Talent
$35 travel fee between 20-30 miles of Talent
* Lessons missed with less than 12 hour's notice will be forfeit.
* Lessons missed with more than 12 hour's notice may be rescheduled during the next four week period.
*Frequent cancelations and rescheduling cannot be accommodated.
Lessons may be rescheduled to openings during the next two weeks, however there are limited times available, and private lessons cannot be guaranteed for rescheduled lessons. If the student prefers, a training ride may be substituted for a lesson (the training ride may not occur at the original lesson time)
GUIDELINES FOR SAFE RIDING AND STABLE ATIRE:
All students must wear closed toe shoes when in the stable. No sandals or flip-flops will be allowed near the horses.
Students must wear hard shoes or boots with heels for riding, and ASTM approved helmets when mounted (children must wear helmets when grooming and tacking as well)
Half-chaps or tall riding boots are needed for correct leg position.
Please contain long hair in tidy hair bands or hair net.
Please remove all jewelry other than post earings or band-rings. Riding is an active and dangerous sport, and jewelry may be caught on tack, barn equipment, ect...
